HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Powerful gusts of wind ripped off part of the roof at the Iwilei City Mill off Nimitz Highway around 3 p.m. Saturday.
Surveillance video shows some black pipes tumbling down in the parking lot, then a little later the roof came crashing down into the parking lot. Hawaiian Electric said about 100 customers lost power because a tarp flew into electrical lines.
The store remained open for its regular business hours and workers tried to take care of some temporary repairs. No injuries were reported. Only two cars had minor damage.
