We have sunny skies to start our Aloha Friday on Oahu. It is a much different story for other parts of our island state.
A cold front moving in from the west has reached Kauai with light to moderate showers. The front and its moisture will continue the trek eastward and is expected to reach Hawaii Island by Sunday. Along the way it will drop some moisture and there is always a chance the showers will be heavy and perhaps cause some flooding.
Unstable air aloft is enhancing some pre-frontal showers over Hawaii Island. Consistent rainfall there has triggered a Flash Flood Watch. There are a number of other advisories in effect as well.
Here's a list that is current as of 9:00 a.m.
Flash Flood Watch – Hawaii Island
High Wind Warning – Summits of Hawaii Island
Winter Weather Advisory – Summits of Hawaii Island
Wind Advisory – Summit of Haleakala
