Tonight at 5: New pope elected, Sexual assaults in military, Maui boy goes pro

Billions of Catholics around the world are celebrating the new pope. Cardinals have bestowed the honor on Argentinean Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio who is now known as Pope Francis the First.  We'll have a live report from Jay Gray in Vatican City.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS IN THE MILITARY

Hawaii Senator Mazie Hirono says more needs to be done to bring justice to victims of sexual assault in the military. The Department of Defense says there are an estimated 19,000 sexual assault cases in the military every year...but less than half get reported.  Tim Sakahara has more on what critics say is wrong with the military court system.

NEW CLEAN ENERGY SHIPPED IN HAWAII?

Hawaii could soon begin shipping in a potentially cleaner and cheaper energy alternative to oil.  Supporters say liquefied natural gas will reduce the state's dependence on imported fuels...but critics aren't convinced it's as environmentally friendly as it sounds.
