Philadelphia (HawaiiNewsNow) - Wearing a reggae-style beenie cap and a kukui nut lei, former University of Hawaii Warrior Isaac Sopoaga was introduced by the Philadelphia Eagles as their newest defensive tackle.

"Talofa and Aloha," he said. "My name is Isaac Michelangelo Sopoaga. First and foremost I would like to give thanks to our heavenly Father for this great opportunity, this wonderful lovely day that we are here as one, for our family here in the Philadelphia media people, get to know us, me and our brother here."

Fresh off a Super Bowl trip with the San Francisco 49ers, Sopoaga didn't mince words when it came to the expectations he has for himself and his teammates.

"We are here to hunt. We are here to win. We are here, and I believe and I promise that we are going to shock the world, and I believe that Coach (Chip) Kelly has a big solid book out there for us, and we're willing and anxious to taste it and to show it and to show it in action."

Sopoaga was one of five free-agents to sign with the Eagles on the first day of the NFL's free-agency period, Tuesday. Signing a three-year contract reportedly worth $12-million.
