HONOLULU - (Hawaii Athletics) The Rainbow Wahine softball team won again, again getting a stellar outing from their pitching ace. Senior Kaia Parnaby tied the UH record with 15
strike outs for the second time in four games. She retired the last 12 straight
batters in a row and struck out 10-of-the-last-12. She raised her record to
15-2 on the season.
Kayla Wartner starred offensively, as she launched her fifth home run of the season
with a solo shot over the rightfield scoreboard in the third inning. Jazmine Zamora and Kaile Nakao both had RBI-doubles in the
sixth to push UH's lead to 4-1.
Hawai`i (17-5) will face East Carolina in a single game on
Tuesday night starting at 6:00 p.m.
