HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Mother Nature was not a fan of out door sports Sunday. Heavy rains and inclement weather led to the cancellation of a UH baseball game and a pair of UH softball games.
The Baseball 'Bows were supposed to host Gonzaga at 1:05pm Sunday for game three of their series, but field conditions were not safe enough to do so. UH announced that the game will not be made up but that game four and five of the series will continue Monday and Tuesday as planned.
Across the street at the Rainbow Wahine Softball stadium, the final day of the Pepsi Malihini Kipa Aloha Tournament was cancelled. In all, four games were lost and will not be made up. UH was supposed to host East Carolina at 2pm and Portland State at 4pm.
The 21st ranked Rainbow Wahine will return to the field Monday vs. Syracuse at approximately 6pm.
Individual ticket holders may use their ticket for another game or receive a refund.
