HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - It's beginning to sound like a broken record, but the Rainbow Baseball team fell again, this time 3-1 to Gonzaga on Saturday at Les Murakami Stadium.
Corey MacDonald (1-2) is the only pitcher in Hawaii's stable to earn a win this season but his solid outing (6.2 IP, six hits, two earned runs) could not make up for the Bows lack of run production.
Hawaii's only run came in the bottom of the third when Kaeo Aliviado grounded-out to third allowing Austin Wobrock to score from third.
UH looked prime to tie the game when Tyler Young's (1-2) pop up to right field dropped for a base hit and put runners at the corners with one out. But a Wobrock strikeout and an Aliviado infield pop up ended the threat.
Hawaii and Gonzaga will play game three of the series on Sunday at 1:05 p.m.
