HONOLULU – The Rainbows pitching injuries are mounting. Freshman Quintin Torres-Costa is out
indefinitely with a ligament tear in his left elbow.
UH is now faced with the prospect of finding healthy bodies
to pitch in a five-game series against Gonzaga starting tomorrow.
"We've been dealt a rough hand, and a friend of mine told me
with all our injuries to our pitching staff we're trying to win at blackjack
with no face cards or aces…it's a hard thing to do."
The Rainbows have previously lost top starter Jarrett
Arakawa for the season, as well as Andrew Jones.
