Whole Foods Trying For A Record

(Hawaii News Now) - This March, Whole Foods Market is hoping to reclaim the Guinness World Record for the number of wheels of Parmigiano Reggiano simultaneously cracked in stores. Whole Foods Market previously set the record in 2008, until it was broken by Loblaw Companies Limited in 2012.

Stores will each crack away at an 85 pound wheel to help reclaim the honor on Saturday, March 9 at 12 p.m. PST.  In its fifth year of celebrating Parmigiano Reggiano, Whole Foods Market shoppers will have the chance to sample more than 400 wheels of authentic Parmigiano Reggiano across the US, Canada and the UK. Delicious food pairings and free samples will be available to mark the occasion.
