Pearl City man arrested after shooting dog, threatening hunters

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Police have identified an 81-year-old Oahu man who was arrested after he reportedly threatened three hunters and shot their dog in a ravine behind his home.

Police say Anthony V. Silva, Sr., of Pearl City, was booked on Saturday on suspicion of animal cruelty, making terroristic threats, reckless endangerment and failing to safely keep a loaded firearm.

Bail has been set at $100,000.
