Honolulu woman one of 17 pardoned by President Obama

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A Honolulu woman is reacting to news that she is one of the 17 people pardoned by President Obama.

An Na Peng had been sentenced to two years probation and a $2,000 fine for conspiracy to defraud the INS.

Her attorney released this statement saying it was a wonderful surprise, and adding, "She is deeply grateful to be one of the few recipients of the President's clemency powers."
