Reach IPS will be showcasing a Healthcare Private Cloud for the medical community at the HIMSS 2013 conference this Sunday, March 3, 2013.
Anaheim Hills, CA (PRWEB) March 01, 2013
There has been much talk about the Cloud recently. Although “Cloud” has been the buzz word for over the past two years, due to concerns about “new” untested technology and public security issues, many people have been reluctant to adopt this technology.
On Sunday, March 3, 2013, at the HIMSS 2013 conference in New Orleans, the company Reach IPS will be at booth 3586 showcasing a new type of cloud for the medical community: a private cloud. Unlike most cloud services in which cloud space is shared between people and companies, the Reach IPS private cloud is just that -- private. Each hospital and clinic is given its own non-shared company cloud.
David Wanner, Reach IPS’s Executive Vice President of Healthcare and Business Relations says, “This is a game changer for the medical community. This gives the medical clinic or hospital all the benefits, including full security and compliance as if they built their own private company data center, but for a fraction of the cost.” With the Healthcare private cloud, hospitals and clinics can expect to receive secure automatic backups, built in disaster recovery, and 99.9999% infrastructure uptime SLA guaranteed.
With the mad dash to obtain meaningful use stage one and two reimbursements, just coming on board to Reach’s private cloud will allow hospitals and clinics to qualify for stage two compliancy with appropriate clinical measures. Reach IPS is also introducing new interoperability that is attained through the use of the Private Cloud. They have created new technology to seamlessly mold legacy systems utilizing HL7 technology in the Cloud, so now customers also have the choice to transition to certified compatible EMR/business solutions or have Reach IPS host their existing legacy software.
With Reach IPS’s 53 data centers throughout the United States, secure enterprise BYOD flexibility (bring your own device), and meeting of all 15 compliancy standards, the Private Cloud is projected to have an impact on the future of the cloud in healthcare.
