Las Vegas, NEVADA (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Rainbow baseball team fell to 0-9 on the season following a 9-0 lose to Loyola Marymount in the opener of the UNLV Rebel Classic, Thursday.
Scott Squier (0-2) suffered the loss for Hawaii after surrendering three earned runs on six hits in five and two-thirds innings pitched. Kaeo Aliviado went 2-4 from the plate, recording UH's only two hits on the day.
The loss marks Hawaii's second straight shutout, one that has seen UH go without scoring a run in their last 25-innings.
Hawaii will look to earn their first win of the season Friday when they play Bradley at 12:05 Hawaii time.
