Pope's Public Goodbye, High Winds & Surf, Countdown to Cuts

POPE'S SENDOFF

Tens of thousands packed Saint Peter's Square for Pope Benedict's last public appearance before he steps down. The Conclave will meet next week to discuss a successor. This morning at 6:45 on Sunrise, we'll talk with Bishop Larry Silva of the Hawaii Diocese about the process and rumors attached to the Pope's resignation.

COUNTDOWN TO CUTS

The deadline to avoid automatic budget cuts is two days away. President Obama has just announced plans to meet with Congressional leaders on Friday. Howard Dicus will explain the effects on Hawaii.

BUS UPGRADES

Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell will announce upgrades to TheBus service which will begin in March.
