Power restored for customers near Kamehameha Shopping Center

A Hawaiian Electric Company spokesperson says that power has been restored to about 50 customers in Kalihi near Kam Shopping Center after strong winds knocked down a utility pole near the intersection of the Likelike and Kalihi Street.

The incident, which happened early Monday evening, originally knocked out power to 700 customers. Crews hoped to have repairs completed by around 8 a.m.

Crews also worked to restore two other outages, on Lunalilo Street in Makiki amd on Kunia Road, to restore power to customers.
