WAHIAWA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
A male in his sixties who appears to
have been a police officer was taken to the hospital in serious condition on
Thursday after the vehicle he was driving apparently rolled into a ditch near
the Dole Plantation in Wahiawa.
According to the Hawaii Fire
Department, the incident happened at around 7:20 a.m. about a quarter of a mile
off of Kamehameha Highway, just Ewa of the maze at the Dole Plantation.
The officer was reportedly pinned in the
vehicle until about he was extricated by about 7:55 a.m. He was reportedly
taken to Wahiawa General hospital in serious condition.
