HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Hawaiian Airlines has decided to increase service from Portland and Oakland this year.

Starting May 10, Hawaiian switches from a 264-seat Boeing 767-300 to a 294-seat Airbus A-330-200 on its Portland flights to Honolulu.

In addition to 30 more seats per flight, or 11,000 more seats annually, the aircraft change will increase Portland cargo capacity by 25 percent, Hawaiian said.

Starting June 15, Hawaiian goes from four to seven weekly flights from Oakland to Honolulu. This is a seasonal increase in service that will run through Oct. 3, the airline said.

Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines both serve these corridors.
