HONOLULU – Island Pacific Academy basketball player Jason
Brenner was released from Queen's Medical Center Tuesday night after taking a
scary fall during a game against Damien.
Brenner was going up for a rebound when he fell backwards,
landing on his head. He went to the
bench but collapsed and was rushed to the hospital.
IPA Head Coach Ty Endo visited Brenner at the hospital after
the game. He told Hawaii News Now that
he was thankful it wasn't a worse injury, and that he wanted to share deep
gratitude for the support showed by not only the IPA students, but those from
Damien as well. Several Monarchs players
gathered at center court and prayed for Brenner as he was being taken from the
gymnasium.
