A motor vehicle collision closed the intersection of Lunalilo Street and Piikoi Street for about 3.5 hours early Sunday morning.
A 20-year-old male was speeding while driving a 1996 Honda Civic and ran a red traveling north on Piikoi Street at Lunalilo. He plowed into a 2000 Nissan Sentra driven by a 38-year-old male at around 3 a.m.
Both were taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Honolulu police performed a mandatory blood draw on the driver of the Honda Civic.
