In honor of National Pancake Month, Grand Prairie of Macomb is hosting Pancake Breakfasts from 7 to 9 a.m. on Thursdays, Feb. 14 and 21.
The BMA affordable assisted living community, which is located at 1307 Meadowlark Lane in Macomb, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.
"We invite you to come and celebrate National Pancake Month with a delicious breakfast at Grand Prairie," says Andrea Keene, Administrator.
The breakfasts are open to the public. There is no charge to attend.
Information about our community and our $4.8 million expansion project that is nearing completion will be available, says Keene.

Grand Prairie is the only senior living community in McDonough County that is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program.
The community recently was recognized as one of the Top 20 assisted living communities in Illinois by Assisted Living Today.
"Our community provides older adults with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home," says Keene. "Residents benefit from living in a residential apartment-home environment and receiving personal assistance and help with medications."
The private apartments at Grand Prairie feature a kitchenette, spacious bathrooms, and an emergency alert system.
Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Meals, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.
"Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and to participate in social actvities and special events no matter what the weather," says Keene.
The expansion project that is nearing completion at Grand Prairie will nearly double the number of apartments that are available. The apartments are scheduled to open for occupancy this Spring.
Reservations for the apartments are being accepted.
Grand Prairie is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.
Based in Bradley, Illinois, BMA operates 36 senior living communities, housing more than 3,300 homes and apartments.
