California Manhunt, Hilo Murder, 9-year-old Arrested -Tonight on HNN

Here's what we're working for the news at 5 and 5:30 tonight:

MASSIVE SEARCH FOR ROGUE EX-COP
There's a massive search going on right now in California. Federal authorities, along with state and local police are on a desperate search for a former Los Angeles police officer accused of killing three people so far. Police say the ex-cop is on a revenge killing spree. We'll have the latest on the hunt.

POLICE SAY THEY'VE SOLVED HILO MURDER
Here at home, police on the Big Island say they've made an arrest in a murder that reportedly happened along the Hilo bayfront. The suspect was already in police custody on other charges.

9-YEAR OLD ARRESTED
Also tonight, a nine year old boy is arrested, accused of robbing a store. What was the attempted hold-up for? Ice cream. Tim Sakahara will have more on the unlikely thief.

NOR'EASTER EXPECTED TO BE HUGE STORM
Plus, millions of people in the Northeast are bracing for what's expected to be one of the worst storms in recent memory.

WEIGHT LOSS: THERE'S AN APP FOR THAT!
Also, we'll show you how smart phones are helping people be smarter-- and healthier--about what they eat. It's helping them to shed those unwanted pounds. That story is at 5:30 on KHNL.

Steph and I hope to see you at 5 and 5:30.

Shawn
