Kimura wins UFC debut

Las Vegas, Nevada (HawaiiNewsNow) – Dustin Kimura used his Jiu-jitsu back ground to perfection Saturday night, submitting Chico Camus (12-4, 1-1 UFC) in the third round of his UFC debut in a preliminary fight at UFC 156.

The Kalani high school grad benefited from an aggressive Camus who, with a boxing background, clearly had an upper hand on his feet. However, round after round, Camus continued to take the fight to the ground and that's where Kimura made him pay.

With 3:35 remaining in the third round, Camus took Kimura to the mat with a leg lock. Kimura reversed position and quickly mounted Camus, reeling off a few punches before Camus flipped over, surrendering his back. Kimura locked his legs around the waist of Camus and after a few moments of ground and pound punches, slipped his right arm under the chin of Camus and locking in a rear-naked choke hold.

Camus tapped out with 3:11 left, improving Kimura's record to a perfect 11-0 in his MMA career (1-0 in the UFC).
