COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – (Hawaii Athletics) Eleven University of Hawai‘i football players were among a league-record 409 student-athletes were named to the fall 2012 Academic All-Mountain West team. Fall sports include men's and women's cross country, football, women's soccer and women's volleyball.
UH's honorees include Kaeo Alo, Ben Clarke, Benetton Fonua, Scott Harding, Marrell Jackson, Mike Milovale, Harold Moleni, Blake Muir, Sean Shigematsu, Cayman Shutter, and Kendrick Van Ackeren.
The mark surpasses the previous Conference record of 396 fall semester honorees, set during the 2010-11 academic year. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.
