(Hawaii News Now) - The 11th Annual Sharon's Ride/Run/Walk is a unique memorial to Sharon Rosenfeld, a nurse and teacher who cared deeply about epilepsy and epilepsy patients. The event is put on by the Epilepsy Foundation of Hawaii and serves as its largest fundraiser.

Created in 1996 in St. Louis, Missouri, Sharon's Ride.Run.Walk is a unique memorial to Sharon Rosenfeld, a nurse and teacher who cared deeply about epilepsy and epilepsy patients. Honolulu is one of 7 sites across the country to host Sharon's Ride.Run.Walk. The event is put on by the Epilepsy Foundation of Hawaii and serves as its largest fundraiser. This January 27th 2013 Sharon's Ride.Run.Walk will take the stage again at Diamond Head and offer participants an opportunity to support the EFH's aim of increasing epilepsy awareness through fun activities. Cyclists, runners and walkers will have a variety of events to test their mettle or just enjoy the camaraderie of the day.The Keiki Bike Obstacle Course and Bike
Safety Program will be back as well as last year's popular Team Incentives.
For over 30 years, the EFH has provided information and educational services for individuals and groups with questions pertaining to epilepsy as well as direct services to individuals with seizure disorders. With over 15,000 Hawaii residents suffering from epilepsy, Sharon's Ride.Run.Walk allows the EFH a unique way to build public awareness of the condition.
• Entry Fees for the ride and run range from $30 to $40.
• The 2013 Sharon's Ride.Run.Walk features: 35K, 75K & 100K Bike Rides. 5K & 10K Runs and a 1 mile walk.
