HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The National Weather Service says a Flash Flood Watch has been issued for the islands of Kauai, Niihau and Oahu.
Forecasters say a cold front will approach the state from the northwest on Sunday and move down the island chain through Monday.
Forecasters say there is also a chance of thunderstorms which would result in intense rain rates thereby increasing the threat of flash flooding.
As the front moves over Maui county and the Big Island late Monday and Monday night, locally heavy rainfall is possible over those areas as well.
