The new Pak offers a way for network administrators to manage and enforce an array of settings in the popular internet browser.
(PRWEB) January 24, 2013
PolicyPak Software, a leader in desktop management and Group Policy, unveiled a new Pak for Internet Explorer 9.
The new pre-configured Pak gives network administrators an easier way to configure the numerous settings within Internet Explorer.
This avoids potential problems where users mess up or work around IT security settings.
PolicyPak also enables administrators to remove settings, disable tabs and remove buttons, to make the internet browser more secure. Video and screenshots can be found on the PolicyPak website.
PolicyPak can deliver settings using Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy, Microsoft SCCM, Dell KACE, or any other management tool.
Jeremy Moskowitz, founder of PolicyPak Software, talks about the need for PolicyPak when using Internet Explorer, “It’s your worst nightmare – Internet Explorer. And, if you call yourself a network administrator, you know how hard it is to manage IE and all its billions of settings. And, what’s worse – users LOVE to tinker, mess up, and work around your IE security settings. PolicyPak has a ‘lock it down’ solution to this thorny problem.”
PolicyPak Professional customers have free access to the Internet Explorer 9 Pak, in addition to dozens of other pre-configured Paks. Some of the most popular applications offer up solutions for Java, Flash, Firefox and Shockwave. Security options are also available for less popular applications and custom homegrown applications with the PolicyPak Design Studio.
IT Admins can find out more about PolicyPak by attending a Group Policy Webinar at the PolicyPak Website, or by calling (800) 883-8002.
