Police have discovered two badly decomposed bodies off of Stainback Highway in Hilo while searching for the body of a man whose murder was captured on surveillance video.

The first body was found Friday, Jan. 18, shortly after 7:20 p.m., in area referred to as "ATV Trail Park."  An autopsy was performed on the unidentified remains, but due to the advanced state of decomposition, detectives are awaiting additional examination and toxicology reports before releasing the exact cause of death.

The second body was found at around 5:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22 following an anonymous tip that led them to a location often called "Tree Planting Road."

Detectives along with scent-tracking dogs checked the area and found the body, which was also decomposed beyond recognition, police say. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.

Police were initially searching the area for the body of Dante Peter Gilman.  Though Gilman's remains have not been found, Claude Keone Krause and his cousin, Kawena Krause, have both been charged with the murder.
