University of Hawaii enrollment down 2% January 22, 2013 at 10:56 AM HST - Updated July 2 at 8:25 AM HONOLULU (AP) - The number of students attending the University of Hawaii's 10 campuses is down about 2% from last spring. More than 55,000 students are enrolled in classes at the school's three universities and seven community colleges. Enrollment at 6 of the community colleges declined compared to last year. Only Kauai Community College reported more students. The university said Friday just over 19,000 students are enrolled at the flagship Manoa campus. That number is little changed from last year. The recently established West Oahu campus reported a 22% jump in enrollment to more than 1,900 students. Copyright 2013 The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
