Hawaii Gas will be extending their work time till 6:30 this evening, performing emergency leak repair work on its underground utility pipeline on Punahou Street. The work has resulted in an additional lane closure on the Punahou Off-Ramp from the H-1 freeway.
Hawaii Gas is performing emergency leak repair work on its underground utility pipeline located on Punahou Street.
Work is schedule from Monday through Wednesday, January 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The work will result in the closure of the middle two lanes (one Mauka and one Makai bound) on Punahou Street between the H-1 Freeway and S. Beretania Street.
One of the two lanes turning right onto Puanhou Street from the Punahou off-ramp may also need to be closed once the work begins.
Sign boards will be posted to help direct motorists around the construction area. Motorists are urged to take an alternate route if possible, exercise caution near the construction zone, and allow extra time to reach their destination.
