Following a recent Search Engine Land article which lists some SEO strategies that will be useful in the New Year, fishbat, an online marketing company, offers their comments.
Bohemia, NY (PRWEB) January 19, 2013
On January 19, fishbat, an online marketing company, responds to a recent article from Tom Schmitz, of Search Engine Land, who highlighted some useful SEO strategies that companies should utilize in 2013.
With the New Year already underway, online marketing companies should start to look for new trends and marketing strategies that will be popping up in the next 12 months. A recent article from Search Engine Land tries to predict some of these strategies.
The article states that Google and Bing are changing and it’s becoming harder for SEOs to influence search engines. But this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. “Understand the search engines’ goals, then use that knowledge to achieve your own business goals. Symbiosis is the mindset to adopt for 2013,” the article states.
The article goes on to state that content should always remain a priority, especially when building an online brand. According to the article, while many Fortune 1,000 companies can gain a preference in search results because of their popularity, smaller businesses can make up for it by creating excellent and timely content.
Scott Darrohn, COO of fishbat, responds to the article, saying that a lot of the information is pertinent to the changes going on in the world of SEO, and can be useful for online marketing companies that are looking to change their SEO strategies this year. Darrohn added that the advice the article gives for social media interaction is especially helpful for SEOs.
“Of course, social media and Search Engine Optimization have always been integrated with one another,” Darrohn said. “But it will be interesting to see how 2013 will change this integration, especially as more and more social networks gain popularity – such as Google Plus and LinkedIn.”
Darrohn adds that more social networks will ultimately mean more opportunity for SEOs and social media managers alike to promote brands and gain followers.
