HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Legendary guitarist Carlos Santana has announced details of his first concerts in Hawaii in 15 years.
The concert dates are Feb. 26 at the Blaisdell Arena and Feb. 28 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. Tickets for both concerts go on sale Saturday, Jan. 19. More specific ticket details are found at the end of this story.
During his career, Santana has sold more than 100 million records and reached more than 100 million fans at concerts worldwide. His first Top ten hit, "Evil Ways," stayed on Billboard's chart for two years and was soon followed by two more classics and Billboard No. 1 albums, including "Oye Como Va", "Black Magic Woman" and "No One to Depend On".
To date, Santana has won ten Grammy Awards, including a record-tying nine for a single project, with 1999's blockbuster Supernatural, which featured many tracks co-written by guest stars including Rob Thomas of matchbox 20, Eric Clapton and Lauryn Hill.
