Pedestrian Killed in Waimanalo ... Likelike Gone Dark ... Sony Open Begins at Waialae

A woman walking along Kalanianaole Highway in Waimanalo overnight was hit and killed. Right now, the highway is closed between Poalima and Moole streets while investigators determine what led to the fatality. It's the second pedestrian death so far this year. Ramsay Wharton is headed to the scene to report live on what happened and how it could affect your drive this morning.

Another traffic alert for Windward commuters. You're in for a dark drive into town on the Likelike. Street lights have been out since Monday between Kahekili Highway and the tunnel. We'll have updates on all your traffic hotspots every 10 minutes on Sunrise.

The Oscar nominations have just been announced in Los Angeles. The Civil War saga "Lincoln" leads the Academy Awards with 12 nominations, including best picture, director for Steven Spielberg and acting honors for Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field and Tommy Lee Jones. Billy V will run down nominees in the other big categories on Sunrise.

Plus, round one of the Sony Open starts. Will the weather cooperate? Meteorologist Jennifer Robbins will be live at  the Waialae Country Club.
