Forecast: Clear and cold early, warming up

Clear skies, calm winds and quite cold this morning. Temperatures will begin the day in the lower 40s with a few areas possibly slipping into the upper 30s through sunrise.

Fall jackets will be needed out the door despite the fact that bright sunshine will be expected all morning long.

Temperatures will quickly warm into the lower 60s by the midday lunch hour. Mainly sunny skies with a few fair weather clouds will be possible into the afternoon with highs in the upper 60s to near 70.

Dry weather will remain into the beginning of the weekend on Saturday. Much warmer with highs near 80, but a chance of rain return on Sunday with highs back into the middle 70s.
