BOE MEETING

The Board of Education will hold its first meeting of the New Year today. On the agenda? Race to the Top funds timeline and status of the stalled contract talks between teachers and the State.

CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW

3D TV's were the rage last time around at the Consumer Electronics Show. What's getting the big buzz this year? We'll get a sneak peek at the hottest new gadgets on display in Las Vegas.

NO STORYBOOK ENDING FOR FIGHTING IRISH

Notre Dame's fairytale season didn't end how the team pictured. The Fighting Irish went down hard to Alabama in the Championship Game, 42-14. Manti Te'o says he's "obviously disappointed" while Coach Brian Kelly reasoned "Pretty darned good football team, "but not good enough." Ahead on Sunrise at 5, we'll talk with a reporter from our Sister Station about the lopsided win.

See you on Sunrise!

Aloha,

Tannya Joaquin
