Hawaii State Sheriffs have asked all airline carriers at the Honolulu International Airport to be on the lookout for a 17-year-old boy who may have gone missing between interisland flights on Thursday.

Kalia Lacio, a Maui resident, was scheduled to depart Maui on Go Airlines flight #1028 to Honolulu at 2:00pm, then fly on a connecting flight that was to arrive on Kaua`i at 3:37pm. He has not been seen or heard from since 1:00pm Thursday.

Lacio may have mistakenly gotten off the plane in Honolulu before arriving at his scheduled destination.

Lacio was last seen wearing a dark blue HPU baseball cap worn backwards, board shorts, and a white Quicksilver surf shirt with designs. He is approximately 6'3" and 280 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes and tan complexion.

Lacio reportedly has a cell phone, but the power is off and calls and text messages have not been returned. A phone call was made to an Oahu number that was not previously in his call history.

Sheriffs say Lacio may be disoriented, lost or wandering the Honolulu International Airport terminal. His parents say he was supposed to attend school on Kauai and is new to air travel.

Anyone who has seen Lacio is asked to call the Sheriffs Airports Division at 808-836-6606.
