Moped rider in critical condition, roads closed after Waialae crash

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Emergency crews say one person is in critical condition following a moped crash in Waialae, and roads are closed in the area as police investigate the accident.

According to Police, the King Street off ramp from the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction is closed, as is Old Waialae Road near the Hawaiian Humane Society due to the accident.

Motorists are urged to avoid this area. HPD's Traffic Division is responding to conduct an investigation into this critical accident involving a sincle moped rider.
