Rotary-forged masterpiece, engineered specifically for BMW vehicles, is available in 84 variations.
Huntington Beach, CA (PRWEB) December 31, 2012
Beyern Wheels engineers and manufactures aftermarket wheels solely and specifically for BMW cars and SUVs and, including the Spartan model, now offers seven distinctive designs, each more alluring than the previous. The Spartan wheel, with its octet of “tuning fork” spokes, has such a Teutonic sensibility and projects such an aura of performance that many BMW owners will find it the perfect complement to their “ultimate driving machine.”
The Spartan can be specified in classic Chrome, progressive Matte Black or in Hyper Silver. Beyern custom BMW wheels are engineered for precise and perfect fitment to the full range of BMW models, and thus offers variations in each wheel diameter and width for three important variables:
Pitch Circle Diameter (PCD). Pitch Circle Diameter is the diameter of an imaginary circle drawn through the center of the wheel’s boltholes. A precise PCD ensures a stable, vibration-free ride.
- Offset (ET). Offset is the difference between the actual mounting plane of the wheel and its physical center. Positive offset will bring the mounting surface closer to the face of the wheel, mounting the wheel further in the fender well. A negative offset will bring the mounting surface closer to the center-line or inner barrel of the wheel, pushing the wheel farther out the mounting surface, creating a wider stance. Accurate offset is essential to assure the tire and wheel fit inside the wheel well without interfering with suspension, brake or body components.
- Bore. BMW vehicles have with a 72mm or 74mm bore, the diameter of the center hole that fits over the vehicles center hub.
Spartan BMW wheels are available in sizes from 17” diameter by 8” width, up to 20” diameter by 10” width. With the three finish options and the variables detailed above, Beyern’s comprehensive offering spans 84 variations in all. “BMW owners need not make any compromises or settle for any trade-offs when specifying Beyern Wheels,” observed Terence Scheckter, president of Beyern Wheels. “We know BMW drivers insist on precision and perfection, and we have created an entire wheel company around this principle,” Scheckter concluded.
Just as BMW seeks to employ each emerging technology to buttress their claim of driving performance, Beyern aftermarket BMW wheels strives to stay at the forefront of wheel technology. The Spartan model, for example, is a one-piece wheel manufactured using an advanced technology termed “rotary-forging.” Rotary forging results in a wheel that is both dramatically lighter weight than a conventional cast alloy wheel, while also being stronger. A rotary forged wheel is created from an initial cast then complex machinery is required to spin the initial casting while under pressure, fundamentally altering the molecular properties of the alloy. This also enhances the strength of the alloy. The resulting mechanical strength allows Beyern manufacturing engineers to reduce the thickness of the outer rim, reducing rotational mass which enhances vehicle performance.
BMW aficionados can preview the Spartan wheel to see how each of the three finishes will look on their model, year and color Bimmer by visiting the Beyern online showroom at beyernwheels.com/bmw-wheels-configurator. The Spartan is the newest of seven distinctive models of Beyern BMW rims, each of which can be previewed in the online wheel configurator. The same web location features a gallery of over 200 images uploaded by actual customers, showcasing a wide variety of Beyern wheels for BMW on the full range of BMW models.
