NANAKULI, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
Traffic on Farrington Highway near the Kahe Power Plant is being contraflowed after a utility pole was damaged in a motor vehicle crash Saturday night.
The crash happened at about 10:30 p.m. and sent an 18-year-old woman to the hospital in serious condition.
Hawaiian Electric Company said the crash also caused a power outage that affected 1,500 customers. Electricity was restored before 4 a.m.
Crews were still at the scene replacing the pole. Traffic is being contraflowed from Alii Nui Drive to Kahe Point.
