Eight injured in Ewa Beach multi-vehicle crash

Eight people were taken to the hospital on Friday morning after they were injured during a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Fort Weaver Road and Kolowaka Drive in Ewa Beach.

The accident happened at around 10:30 a.m.

Paramedics say four of the eight injured were women, ages 76, 69, 40 and 33, and were transported to the hospital in serious condition.

The crash involved four vehicles heading south on Fort Weaver about 10:30 a.m.

According to police, three vehicles were stopped at a red light in the southbound direction of Fort Weaver Road when a fourth car crashed into one of them, causing a chain reaction.

Four others--two girls, ages 6 and 4, a 19-month-old boy, and a man whose age was not immediatewly known--were taken to the hospital in stable condition.
