Agents with the U.S. Marshals Hawaii Fugitive Task Force located and arrested a man wanted on child pornography charges.

Darrin J. Taylor was arrested without incident at his residence in the 300 block of Gemini Avenue in Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam.

The task force consists of U.S. Marshals, Hawaii State Sheriff Deputies and U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) Special Agents.

Upon arrest, Marshals discovered a 16 month-old infant at the residence who was believed to be Taylor's son. AFOSI Special Agents coordinated with military officials to have the infant turned over to the custody of Taylor's spouse who was at work at the time.

On November 2, 2012, an arrest warrant was issued in the Circuit Court of Christian County, Missouri for Taylor, 47, charging him with two class C felony counts of possession of child pornography in the first degree. The alleged possession occurred on or about October 28, 2010.

During the course of the investigation, Marshals learned that Taylor relocated to Honolulu in August and is a Captain in the Army National Guard. Taylor was transported to Honolulu Police Department Central Receiving Desk where he awaits an extraction hearing back to Missouri. Taylor is being held on two separate bonds of $10,000 each.
