KAILUA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
A popular bakery in Kailua was left cleaning up glass and rubble on Tuesday evening after a car slammed into the shop window.
The accident reportedly happened at around 6:00 p.m., when a car reversed from the intersection of Kihapai and Ho'olai streets before slamming into Agnes' Portuguese Bake Shop.
The bakery's owner says the accident was nearly much worse.
"It missed one of our retailers by about two feet," said owner Non Demello. "She was cleaning off the coffee stand area, and all of a sudden she had this car next to her, and so she was kind of shook up. But fortunately, no one was hurt."
Demello says the shop will still be open for business in the morning.
