Nurse pleads guilty to sexual assault

HONOLULU (AP) - A 38-year-old hospital nurse has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a Coast Guard crew member docked at a Marshall Islands atoll.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports Dennis Henry pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Honolulu on Thursday, saying he had sex with the victim without his consent because he was intoxicated.

Henry reached a deal with prosecutors in which he agreed to serve two years in prison. A second charge of drugging would be dropped it U.S. District Judge Leslie Kobayashi accepts the plea. Henry will be sentenced in April.

Court documents say the Coast Guard member was part of a crew docked at Kwajalein Atoll in March, when he spent a day sailing, swimming and drinking alcohol. Prosecutors say he was intoxicated when he met Henry.
