Red Flag Warning canceled for Hawaii

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The National Weather Service in Honolulu has canceled a Red Flag Fire Warning for Leeward areas off all Hawaiian Islands.

Winds were expected between 15 to 25 miles per hours, with gusts of up to 40 miles per hour. Relative humidity may be as low as 45 percent.

A Red Flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures will create rapid fire growth potential. A red flag warning does not predict new fire starts.
