HAPPENING TODAY: TEACHERS' LARGEST PROTEST

Teachers at some 83 public schools statewide will protest their imposed contract before and after school today. Sunrise will be live with the story, as teachers and students rally in front of their campuses.

COAST NOT CLEAR AFTER SHARK ATTACK

Warning signs are still up near Pakala Point on Kauai, where a shark bit a surfer yesterday. The State will dispatch officers to scour the area this morning for any more shark sightings.

MANTI TE'O'S HEISMAN HUNT

Notre Dame's star linebacker is racking up honors leading up to this weekend's Heisman Award Ceremony. Steve Uyehara will check in live from New York this morning on Sunrise with the latest kudos for Manti Te'o in his hunt for the Heisman.

AND THE GRAMMY GOES TO...

All that, plus congratulations are in order to Bruno Mars and other Hawaii musicians nominated for Grammy awards. We'll run down the list on Sunrise. Hope you can join us.

Aloha,

Tannya Joaquin
