Salt Lake Blvd. reopened after utility pole repairs completed

SALT LAKE, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - All lanes have been reopened on Salt Lake Boulevard on Wednesday after three downed utility poles caused a power outage in Salt Lake.

HECO repair crews were able to restore power to all customers.

1200 customers in the Salt Lake area were initially without power Tuesday morning. Officials believe that a guy wire broke on one of the poles, which then pulled down two other poles along with it.

Honolulu police had closed Salt Lake Boulevard from Kamehameha Highway to Kalaloa Street because the utility poles were blocking the road.
