Shaka Santa arrives at Honolulu Hale

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The big man in red made has made his big appearance at Honolulu Hale. Crews were seen loading Shaka Santa into position Tuesday morning. Tutu Mele was placed at his side.

The pair is a main attraction at the city's annual Honolulu Lights Display, which kicks off this year on Saturday, December 1st.

About 2,000 marchers, more than 40 vehicles and floats and 15 bands will participate in Saturday's parade. The night begins with Mayor Peter Carlisle lighting the city's Christmas tree.
