Halawa (HawaiiNewsNow) – Kahuku dominated Punahou in all three phases of the game to lock up its second straight division one state football championship, 42-14 Friday night at the Aloha Stadium.
Red Raider running back Aofaga Wiley racked up 188 yards rushing and three touchdowns while defensive back/receiver Kawe Johnson hauled in two interceptions and a receiving touchdown to close out their much celebrated prep careers.
On the division two level, Iolani won its 6th straight HHSAA division-II football championship defeating Lahainaluna 36-33. Raiders quarterback Reece Foy tossed five touchdowns while JT Los Banos led the Iolani defense with 3 interceptions.
