Happy Thanksgiving! Here's what's coming tonight at 5 ...
POLICE CHASE SUSPECT IN HAWAII KAI
It was a busy day for Honolulu Police. They closed Kalanianaole Highway in both directions between the Halona Blow Hole and Hanauma Bay after the hot pursuit of a suspect. We'll have the latest details coming up.
BLACK THURSDAY MADNESS
It used to be that the shopping madness started on Friday, but not this year. Tim Sakahara reports on 'Black Thursday' madness, which apparently now marks the official start of the Christmas shopping season. He'll have a live report form a place where shoppers are already out in full force.
SALVATION ARMY THANKSGIVING DINNER
And of course, today is the day we all give thanks for what we have... and also help those who have less. Tonight, we stop in on two annual island traditions--the Salvation Army Thanksgiving Day feast in Honolulu and Kaneohe.
HOLIDAY TRAGEDY IN TEXAS
It's not all good news, though, on this Thanksgiving holiday. In Texas, a massive, 100 car pileup claimed several lives. It happened as many folks made their way to Thanksgiving celebrations. Investigators now know what triggered the deadly chain-reaction crash.
HELPING THOSE IN NEED
Also, not everyone has what they need this time of the year. Jennifer Robbins brings us a special look at how you can help brighten the holidays for one local family.
A SURVIVOR'S INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE
And, there's a huge need for it. And tonight we'll show you how one young survivor is inspiring others to donate blood this holiday season.
That's all tonight at five on KGMB and KHNL.
Steph and I hope to see you then!
