MEMORIAL FOR CAMPBELL HIGH TEEN KILLED IN CRASH
A memorial grew overnight at the sight of a SUV crash in Ewa Beach that killed one teen and injured three others. Friends have identified the 14-year-old passenger killed as Kawehi Kupukaa. The driver, identified by family as 16-year-old Brandon Harris, is now on life support. A third teen in the SUV is now in serious condition. The driver in another SUV hit by Kupukaa was taken to Queen's in serious condition. that Police believe alcohol was involved, but are awaiting the results of a toxicology test. It's still not known why the teens weren't in class at James Campbell High School. Ramsay Wharton will have reports this morning on Sunrise.
WATER MAIN BREAK SCHOOL CLOSURES
Pu'u Kahea Preschool in Waianae preschool will be closed a second day because of a 16 inch water main break on Farrington Highway. Both mauka lanes of the highway are closed. Traffic is being contra-flowed.
ALA MOANA WATER MAIN BREAK
Another water main break has closed both lanes on Alder Street in the Ala Moana area. The Board of Water Supply says about a dozen customers will be without water during the repair work. That's expected to last through the morning. Traffic updates every 10 minutes on Sunrise.
USS MICHAEL MURPHY PULLS INTO PEARL HARBOR
Happening today, a new US warship named after a Pearl Harbor Medal of Honor recipient will arrive at its new home. The USS Michael Murphy, with its crew of 279 people, will pull into Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam this morning. The ship's namesake was a Navy Seal killed in a gun-battle in Afghanistan in 2005.
