Waianae Water Main Break, Black Friday Lines Start, Jake Shimabukuro Live

WATER MAIN BREAK

We're on a roll. Two days, two water main breaks. Reports are coming into our newsroom about water flooding Farrington Highway in Waianae near the Taco Bell. Ramsay is headed out to the scene to give us live reports on Sunrise.

BLACK FRIDAY LINES ALREADY?

It's true. Bargain hunters are already camped out outside stores like Best Buy. They have set up a makeshift campsite complete with tents and games to pass the time, while they wait for the doors to open at Midnight Friday.

TEACHERS' TALKS PROGRESS REPORT

Today, the Board of Education will get a progress report on the status of contract negotiations with Hawaii's 13 thousand public school teachers. Last week, Campbell High teachers staged a work to the rules protest, where they worked only the hours on their imposed contract, 8 to 3, and did not do tutoring, coaching or other extras to prove a point. The Teachers Union is now looking over a 103 page proposal from the State for a new 2 year deal. The two sides plan to meet next month.

SIREN WARNING

More siren testing will take place today. From 9 am to noon, State Civil Defense will sound two emergency sirens in Waipahu and one in Kaimuki. Two other sirens in East Oahu will also be tested from 1-3 in the afternoon.

STEVE'S BACK FROM SOUTH BEND

Steve's back from an 11 day road trip that took him to Boston and South Bend, Indiana to follow Manti Te'o and Notre Dame's run at a National Championship and Heisman Trophy.
